During our trip to Dawki, we encountered a problem with the road due to heavy rain and a landslide. However, we managed to shift our plans and make our way to this beautiful village. As we traveled towards Dawki, the scenery became more breathtaking, with rolling fields and lush greenery.

Dawki is renowned as Asia's cleanest village, and upon arrival, we had to pay an entrance fee of 100 rupees. Our initial impression was that the village lived up to its reputation, as we noticed the absence of any litter or rubbish in sight. The cleanliness was evident just 40 meters down the road from the entrance.

One of the striking aspects of Dawki is its scenic beauty. There are numerous trees and plants in various shades of green all around the village. The tropical atmosphere and jungle feel provided a completely different experience from the city of Shillong.
